Things I am:

I am female, 25, a codemonkey, a linux bigot, a gamer, a bookworm, gothic, musical, pagan, vehemently geeky and occasionally ineptly artistic.

Things I like:

* Books! Preferred genres differ, but it runs in the family. I lean most strongly toward fantasy with a touch of sci-fi and cyberpunk, with rare sojourns into novelized biographies. The comic book shelf is pretty full, too.

* Old books and movies. My mom donated the Marx Brothers, Danny Kaye and Victor Borge, Sherlock Holmes and Lord Peter Wimsey. From my father came Cary Grant, Errol Flynn, Captains Courageous and Chariots of Fire, The Rat Pack, James Thurber, chess, art, and every nonfiction book that I own and probably won't ever read. Everything else on my shelves can be blamed on me.

* Computers, whole and in pieces. The whole ones are useful for playing games, but you'll never find me on the bleeding edge. There's that whole "linux" thing, to start, and then there's the fact that I'll take Lufia 2 and Icewind Dale over the latest FPS any day.

* Sewing (occasionally), knitting (constantly), baking (weekly) and cooking (frequently).

* Bitching. If I do it here, I probably won't go all self-righteously ranty in the real world. This is mostly because real world people have better things to do than watch me turn purple with indignation over the latest piece of obscure nonsense. Frankly, I don't blame them.

* My husband. He's very nifty.
